backfile: mineral de pozos
Back in July, I went with my friend M.C. to the old mining town of Mineral de Pozos. We took a tour of the now abandoned ruins, filled with texture and the presence of another time. Many Indians lost their lives back then in the unbelievably deep shafts. The town is slowly reviving with new small boutique hotels, galleries and shops.

Sallie,your photos of Pozos are among the richest I've seen, and believe me, after living there more than four years, I have seen a lot. Congratulations on capturing the spirit of the place.
