Village of White Tents
And they are headed toward a cemetery near you...if you believe. And if you don't, it's still a nice time to remember. Meanwhile, back here on earth, since the end of last week, vendors selling sugar treats and other goodies have been setting up in their village of white tents at Plaza Civica. Mexican families are preparing their offerings or ofrendas for the Day of the Dead, Día de los Muertos, a day and night to spend time with the departed. It's a very special, loving and festive tradition. As we get closer to the day, on November 1st and 2nd, I will be posting other images and impressions. In the meantime, check out a short video on YouTube here
